Community tank

A community tank houses several peaceful species that share the same water and temperature needs and get along — the classic, rewarding beginner setup.

A good community is built around compatible parameters and temperaments, not just "fish that look nice together." Mixing fin-nippers with long-finned fish, or predators with bite-sized tankmates, is the usual pitfall.

Our compatibility checker and stocking calculator are built to catch exactly those clashes before you buy.
